The journey of Chocos Express began with a simple intention and a mother’s love.

Usha Polu, an IT professional who worked with leading MNCs for over seven years, never initially planned to step into the world of baking. Her journey started in 2012, not as a business, but as a heartfelt effort to prepare healthier, better-quality treats for her son.

What began in her home kitchen soon turned into a deep passion. Driven by curiosity and creativity, Usha started experimenting, learning, and perfecting her skills. As her creations reached more people, appreciation grew — and so did the demand. Orders started flowing in, and with them came something unexpected: people began asking her to teach.

They didn’t just want to buy her products — they wanted to learn from her, grow like her, and build something of their own.

Recognizing this need, Usha Polu took a meaningful step forward. She began conducting home-based baking classes with a clear purpose — to empower others, especially women, to learn a skill that could help them earn from home and become financially independent.

What started as small home sessions gradually evolved into a larger vision.

With years of dedication, continuous learning from industry experts, and professional training, she earned her Diploma in Baking & Patisserie from City & Guilds and became a certified professional pastry chef.

After nearly eight years in the field, in 2021, she established Chocos Express Academy in Vijayawada, bringing international standards of baking education to her city.

Despite the challenges of running a premium training academy in a developing market, Usha Polu remained committed to her purpose. For her, this journey has never been just about profit — it has always been about impact.

Through her guidance, many students have transformed their lives — from beginners to confident bakers, from learners to entrepreneurs.
